Agile Project Management and DevOps for IT Projects

Course overview

Objective The training program provides in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the areas of DevOps and agile project management according to PRINCE2 Agile®. It aims to empower participants to optimize IT processes, improve collaboration between development and operations teams, and successfully manage projects according to agile principles. Content The training consists of two main modules: DevOps Foundation Fast Track* The content covers the fundamentals and values of DevOps, the importance of culture and collaboration, as well as key practices such as Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment. Additionally, agile methods, service management, testing methods, quality assurance, containerization, microservices, and open-source technologies are addressed. Another focus is on Lean Thinking, performance measurement, change management, resilience, and the tool landscape in the DevOps environment. Innovative practices such as ChatOps, Dojo, and experiments, as well as frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, are also introduced. PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation* This module introduces the core components of PRINCE2®, including fundamental principles, themes, and processes. The connection of PRINCE2® with agile methods is explained in detail, as well as the adaptation of PRINCE2® phases, themes, and processes to agile working methods. An overview of various agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean is provided. Agile principles and methods regarding planning, communication, and prioritization within PRINCE2 Agile® are also part of the curriculum. Learning Objectives Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to: Understand and apply the core concepts and values of DevOps. Explain the principles of agile methods and their integration into project management. Describe the fundamentals of PRINCE2® and the specific adaptations for agile environments. Describe key DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment. Recognize the importance of culture and collaboration for the success of DevOps initiatives. Apply agile project management techniques in the context of PRINCE2 Agile®. Identify the tool landscape and relevant technologies in the DevOps environment. Utilize metrics for measuring performance and for continuous improvement. Career Prospects The acquired knowledge and skills qualify participants for roles in IT-related areas that require optimization of development processes, improved collaboration, and agile project management. Possible fields of application include roles in IT management, software development, project management, and IT operations.
