Course overview
This training course covers content from the Smart Electric department. The focus is on the maintenance and servicing of electric vehicle components. Tools and methods for the maintenance of electrical systems High voltage certificate Level 2s Smart Electric Overview Smart Electric refers to the maintenance, diagnosis, and optimization of electrical and electronic systems in vehicles with electric and hybrid drives. The focus is on the analysis and maintenance of high-voltage systems, battery management, and electric drives while adhering to safety standards. The areas of Smart Electric include the maintenance of high-voltage systems in hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as battery management and efficiency optimization. Safety training for handling electric drives is also covered, along with the calibration and programming of control units. Additionally, the program includes the installation and maintenance of charging technologies, as well as the diagnosis and repair of electrical systems. What is taught in Module 1: Basics of Vehicle Technology This module covers the following content: Physical fundamentals and occupational safety Chassis construction: axles, steering, wheels, suspension, and brakes Drive systems, such as motors, transmissions, and drive shafts Inspection and use of testing equipment Special requirements for electric vehicles The first module of this training provides the fundamentals of vehicle technology with a special focus on electric vehicles. In addition to drive technology and the chassis, physical fundamentals and occupational safety measures relevant to working on electric vehicles are discussed. The teaching content also includes the inspection and use of testing equipment. Module 2: Specialization in Electrical Engineering Teaching Content The second module of this Smart Electric training focuses on electrical engineering, the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in electric and hybrid vehicles, including high-voltage technology, battery management, and charging technology. Qualification: High Voltage Certificate 2s This is the basis for working on live high-voltage systems, diagnosing faults, and independently carrying out maintenance measures while adhering to safety standards. This module on electrical engineering covers the following content: Voltage, current, and resistance Electric motors Electronic data transmission and troubleshooting Handling high-voltage systems from distortions Handling electric vehicles (e-bikes, e-scooters, electric cars) Energy generation, storage, and charging technology High voltage certificate 2s for work on production vehicles Requirements for participation Interest in various vehicles and modes of transport, including cars, bicycles, scooters, and Segways Manual skills German language proficiency at level B2
