The training in financial accounting provides comprehensive and job-related knowledge for activities in bookkeeping and financial accounting, specifically aimed at aspiring or active specialists in financial accounting and bookkeeping. It covers central tasks of accounting, ongoing bookkeeping, financial accounting, payroll accounting, and balance sheet accounting, taking into account legal and organizational requirements. In the foundational area of accounting, the essential principles of bookkeeping are taught. This includes inventory and the inventory list, proper bookkeeping, posting to asset and income accounts, as well as the structure and significance of the profit and loss statement. Topics also include profit determination, changes in inventory, as well as private withdrawals and contributions. Additionally, basic tax issues, particularly value-added tax in the purchasing and sales process, are addressed. This content forms the basis for a career in accounting and bookkeeping. A central focus of the training is on financial accounting. Participants engage with the setup, maintenance, and use of master data, the processes of ongoing financial bookkeeping, and the systematic recording of business transactions. This includes the application of tax characteristics, monitoring of open items, preparation of business evaluations, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
