Data Protection + Cybersecurity + Network Segmentation + Security Culture This training course provides knowledge about data protection and cybersecurity by explaining fundamental principles and legal frameworks. Participants will learn how to implement organizational measures and security strategies to ensure the protection of data in companies. Module 1: Basics of Data Protection and GDPR Module 2: Security Strategies for Network Segmentation: Controlling Access, Minimizing Risks Module 3: Security Culture: Human Factors & Awareness Strategies !Basics of Data Protection and GDPR *Data Protection Basics & Terms: Introduction to personal data, data processing, data protection principles, and legal foundations according to GDPR. *Rights & Obligations under GDPR: Rights of data subjects, consent, information obligations, data processing agreements, and the role of the data protection officer. *Organizational Data Protection: Implementation in the company through technical and organizational measures (TOM), data protection management & IT security strategies. *Practice & IT Integration: Data protection in IT administration, interfaces to information security, cybersecurity, BSI basic protection & compliance systems. !Security Strategies for Network Segmentation: Controlling Access, Minimizing Risks *Access Control with PKI: Use of digital certificates for authentication in encrypted network connections. *Segmentation & Threat Analysis: VLAN, subnetting, and micro-segmentation to reduce security-relevant attack surfaces. *SIEM Integration & Snort: Logging security-critical events with Security Information and Event Management. *Network Certificates: Insights into the network administrator and network technology certification in the business IT context. !Security Culture: Human Factors & Awareness Strategies *Attack vectors such as social engineering, phishing, and insecure passwords in the focus of cyber defense. *Planning and implementation of security training, awareness campaigns, and internal guidelines. *Roles in the security process: IT admins, security teams, employees, and data protection officers. *Connecting awareness with GRC systems, SIEM solutions, and business continuity in companies. After completing the training, participants will be able to plan and implement data protection measures in companies, develop security strategies, and promote a security culture.
