Course overview

DevOps is the essential method for integrating software development and IT operations -- this training provides you with all the core competencies for successful DevOps implementation in the company. Fundamentals and Culture of DevOps: DevOps unites development (Dev) and operations (Ops) through a shared culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement. You will learn the three ways of DevOps: Flow, Feedback, and Continuous Learning. The planning and management of DevOps transformations, change management, and Conway's Law form the cultural foundation of this training. CI/CD - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with DevOps: At the heart of this DevOps training is the deployment pipeline: you will build complete CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions. Topics include automated testing, build automation, release management, and risk reduction through continuous delivery. Controlling and managing deployments through metrics, telemetry data, and A/B testing are also included, as well as resource management within the pipeline. Infrastructure and Tools: You will work hands-on with the central DevOps tools: Docker (containerization), Kubernetes (orchestration), Terraform, and Ansible (Infrastructure as Code). Monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana enable transparent control of system status. Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and code reviews are integral parts of DevOps practice. Security, Risk Management, and Quality: DevSecOps integrates security directly into the DevOps process. You will learn continuous security, automated vulnerability scanning, and secure release automation. Risk management through feature flags, canary releases, and blue-green deployments reduces failure risks. Communication between development, operations, and security teams is promoted through structured DevOps processes. Scaling, SRE, and Agile DevOps Methods: Scaled DevOps practices with lean principles, Scrum, and Kanban in the DevOps context, as well as Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), round out the training. Service Level Objectives, error budgets, and toil reduction are practical SRE concepts. Resource planning for DevOps teams and managing transformation projects will be practiced using real case studies. Certification and Conclusion: This DevOps training prepares you for recognized certifications such as DevOps Foundation.
