Course overview

This training course covers content from the Smart Electric field. The focus is on the maintenance and servicing of electric vehicle components. Tool and method knowledge for the maintenance of electrical systems High-voltage certificate level 2s Smart Electric Overview Smart Electric refers to the maintenance, diagnosis, and optimization of the electrical and electronic systems in vehicles with electric and hybrid drives. The focus is on the analysis and maintenance of high-voltage systems, battery management, and electric drives while adhering to safety standards. The areas of Smart Electric include the maintenance of high-voltage systems in hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as battery management and efficiency optimization. Safety training for handling electric drives is also covered, along with the calibration and programming of control units. Additionally, the program includes the installation and maintenance of charging technologies, as well as the diagnosis and repair of electrical systems. This is taught in Module 1: Basics of Vehicle Technology This module covers the following content: Physical fundamentals and occupational safety Chassis structure: axles, steering, wheels, suspension, and brakes Drive systems, such as motors, transmissions, and drive shafts Inspection and use of testing equipment Special requirements for electric vehicles The first module of this training provides the fundamentals of vehicle technology with a special focus on electric vehicles. In addition to drive technology and the chassis, physical fundamentals and occupational safety measures that are significant for working on electric vehicles are discussed. The teaching content also includes the inspection and use of testing equipment. Specialization: Electrical Engineering The second module of this training focuses on the specialization in electrical engineering in electric and hybrid vehicles. Key topics include the diagnosis and maintenance of high-voltage systems, battery management, and charging technologies. As part of the module, the high-voltage certificate 2s is obtained. The content taught includes handling electric vehicles such as e-scooters, e-bikes, and electric cars, as well as the fundamentals of voltage, current, and resistance in electrical systems. The functioning of electric motors, handling high-voltage systems and their distortions, as well as topics like energy generation, storage, and charging infrastructure are covered. Additionally, electronic data transmission and fault diagnosis are addressed. High-voltage certificate 2s The high-voltage certificate 2s is the basis for working on high-voltage systems. It authorizes the diagnosis of faults and the performance of maintenance work on live systems while adhering to safety requirements. Requirements for participation Interest in various vehicles and means of transportation, including cars, bicycles, scooters, and Segways Manual skills German language proficiency at B2 level
