Do you want to improve your English skills specifically for professional everyday life in an open and friendly learning atmosphere characterized by team spirit? Then you are in the right place! My name is Helen Heron, and I have been teaching at the vhs Darmstadt/Dieburg for over 20 years – where learning is not only effective but also fun. The course is aimed at professionals who want to actively use their English and further develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The focus is on practical exercises, realistic dialogues, and interactive tasks that optimally prepare you for professional situations. Course contents: • English for typical situations in professional everyday life • Expansion of vocabulary and grammar at B1 level • Telephone calls, meetings, and professional conversations • Emails and short presentations in English • Training active speaking and listening comprehension Your advantage: In an intensive learning week as part of educational leave, you will improve your English skills in a practical way and gain more confidence for communication in international professional life. Prerequisites for participation: Participants should have previously learned English up to level B1 and be accustomed to a brisk learning pace. The textbook is not included in the course fee. Please bring it to the first session! In Hesse, employees are entitled to 5 days of paid educational leave per year. This course is open to everyone, even if you do not claim educational leave. Due to legal regulations, educational leave includes components of political and social education.
