Violence Prevention in Care

Course overview

In daily care, the individual and dignified support of people is at the center. At the same time, situations can arise where verbal or physical assaults occur - triggered by illnesses, overwhelm, fear, or other psychological and physical changes in those requiring care. Additionally, stressful working conditions such as time pressure, staff shortages, and stress can increase the emotional burden on caregivers and promote conflict situations. This training provides you with in-depth knowledge about how violence in care arises, how to recognize early warning signs, and how to act safely and de-escalating in critical situations. The goal is also to develop preventive strategies that aim to prevent violence in daily care as much as possible and strengthen teamwork.
