Course overview

This training course covers IT disciplines from Industry 4.0. It imparts knowledge about programming, control, and operation of industrial plants. What is meant by IT in Industry 4.0? In Industry 4.0, IT plays a central role by integrating technologies into industrial processes and production systems. By combining database management, network security, automation, and control technology, connected and intelligent systems are created. IT knowledge is applied in Industry 4.0 in the following areas: Development and management of networks and databases Programming and control of industrial plants Security concepts for industrial IT systems Use of robotics and automation techniques Utilization of digital twins and cyber-physical systems Entry: Fundamentals of IT The module provides an introduction to the concepts of IT, digital technology, and programming with Python. It presents the fundamentals of applied measurement technology, control, and regulation technology, creating a foundation for further topics. Programming Basics The basics of programming include an introduction to programming with Python and Raspberry Pi. It covers program structures, control structures such as conditions and loops, as well as classes. Certification The training concludes with a certification as an Automation Technician in the TIA Portal, corresponding to ZVEI Level 1. Requirements for the IT in Industry 4.0 Training Basic interest in the fields of IT and industrial manufacturing Completed vocational training, degree, or adaptation qualification in the IT field or passed suitability test German language level B1
