Course overview

This training course imparts IT knowledge in the field of Industry 4.0. The focus areas are programming, control technology, and system configuration of industrial plants. Configuration and control of industrial plants IT certifications in various subject areas What does IT encompass in Industry 4.0? IT in Industry 4.0 deals with the integration of IT technologies into industrial processes and production systems. Various areas such as databases, network security, control technology, and automation technologies are combined to create intelligent, interconnected systems in industrial production. IT knowledge is applied in Industry 4.0 in: Development and management of databases and networks Creation of security concepts for industrial IT systems Programming and control of industrial plants Utilization of Cyber-Physical Systems and digital twins Use of robotics and automation Entry: Basics of IT The module provides an introduction to the concepts of IT, digital technology, and programming with Python. It presents the fundamentals of applied measurement technology, control, and regulation technology, establishing a foundation for further topics. Basics of IT The basics of IT include the definition of key terms in information technology as well as the physical and technical foundations necessary for understanding and applying IT systems. Programming Basics The basics of programming include an introduction to programming with Python and Raspberry Pi. It covers program structures, control structures such as conditions and loops, as well as classes. Additionally, it teaches the use of various programming environments such as VS Code, Jupyter Notebook, and PyCharm. Measurement Technology, Regulation Technology, and Control Technology In measurement technology, regulation technology, and control technology, the fundamentals of measurement and regulation technology are taught. This includes working with control systems using the TIA Portal and PLC technology, as well as hardware design with EPLAN. Further content includes network and device configuration, as well as working with data types, variables, and data blocks. Certification The training concludes with a certification as an Automation Technician in the TIA Portal, corresponding to ZVEI Level 1. Requirements for Participation Basic interest in IT and industrial processes A completed vocational training, an IT degree, or a corresponding adaptation qualification; or a passed aptitude test Language level B1 in German
