Course overview

Determining which risks are actually relevant for a system and which can be neglected is hardly a matter of intuition, especially given the constant emergence of new vulnerabilities. Threat analysis in IT security addresses this uncertainty with a systematic approach. Without such a system, the assessment of threats often remains incomplete or subjective. A systematic evaluation directs resources specifically towards the truly relevant risks.
