Course overview

The module covers IT security in the following areas: Safe handling of data, devices, and networks Malware and other threats Secure network connections Firewalls and password security Safe browsing and communication Data backup Secure deletion of data The module also addresses data protection in the following areas: Legal and organizational requirements for handling personal data Basics and principles of the GDPR Lawful processing of personal data The rights of data subjects as well as technical and organizational measures Handling data protection breaches Both areas provide an important complement to traditional office skills: Digital work capability today encompasses more than just the application of software; it also includes the secure and data protection-compliant handling of information and digital work tools.
