Course overview

JavaScript is a scripting language primarily used for DOM scripting in web browsers. In JavaScript, you can program in an object-oriented, procedural, and functional manner. While HTML/CSS only offers rudimentary options for user interaction, JavaScript allows for content generation and loading. In addition to server-side programming languages like Perl, PHP, and JavaEE, JavaScript enables direct responses to user inputs in the browser. This includes, for example, validation checks of form inputs at the sender or loading content without needing to reload the entire page. Animations are also possible without additional plugins like Flash or similar. This training provides participants with advanced knowledge for all future client-side programming tasks for Web 2.0.
