AI Application in Project Management with DevOps and Kanban

Course overview

Course Objective The training program imparts knowledge and skills in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for project managers, DevOps practices, and the Kanban method. It aims to empower project managers to utilize AI technologies to enhance efficiency and decision-making in projects. Furthermore, the fundamentals and practices of DevOps for optimizing IT development and operational processes, as well as the application of the Kanban method for visual management and continuous improvement of work processes, are taught. Content The course "AI for Project Managers" covers an introduction to Artificial Intelligence, specific AI applications in project management, foundation models, and open-source AI tools. Topics include the use of AI in daily project work, the implementation of AI projects, ethical, data protection, and legal frameworks, as well as the evaluation of AI solutions. Soft skills such as communication, leadership, and change management in the context of AI projects are also addressed. An excursion into project management and an additional topic on working with ChatGPT are included. The course "DevOps Foundation" teaches the fundamentals and philosophical approach of DevOps, its emergence, and reasons for its use. Central DevOps practices such as version control, configuration management, and the deployment pipeline are covered. The value stream, definition of done, and management of challenges in automation are part of the curriculum. Anti-patterns, service management as an enabler, metrics and KPIs, the interplay with Scrum and Lean/Kanban, as well as DevSecOps are explained. The integration of AI into DevOps, including GenAI and AIOps, is also discussed. The course "Kanban" introduces the fundamentals of the method and addresses the use of Kanban boards for visual representation of work processes. Prioritization of tasks, reduction of bottlenecks, and flexible application in various project environments are central themes. The use of Kanban tools such as Trello, metrics for performance measurement, teamwork and communication in the Kanban context, as well as integration into existing processes are taught.
