Course overview

This training is aimed at those who are already working as home managers or deputy home managers and are preparing for the position. The demands on facilities in elderly care and their management have significantly increased in recent years. An increase in competition, more demanding residents, relatives, and employees, a wide range of services, quality aspects, and not least political and legal developments require a high level of qualification from managers. The tasks differ according to the size of the facility and the type of sponsorship. The spectrum of the profession ranges from a kind of home father/mother to a social manager. The goal of the training is to address the broad requirements profile and prepare participants for their various tasks or support them in their daily work. Therefore, the training includes the additional certificate of Quality Officer. The training is primarily focused on two goals: the development of fundamentals for the position of home management and current support in daily work. The training is oriented towards legal requirements as well as current and future demands on the position of home management. The legal foundations include, in particular, the "Framework Curriculum of the Federal Working Group of Free Welfare Services for In-Service Training and Continuing Education for Home Managers, the Home Personnel Regulation, and the additional requirements of individual states for home manager qualification. To support participants in their practical work during the training, the content of the learning events and learning situations is tailored to the participants' experience base. Practically, this means that the knowledge, skills, and ideas of the participants are incorporated into and further developed in the lessons. If necessary, various supplementary modules can be completed, such as Nursing Management / Nursing Service Management.
