Artificial Intelligence for the Profession

Course overview

The training provides job seekers with a secure and independent handling of Artificial Intelligence in professional everyday life. No prior knowledge of AI is required. The course is divided into four phases with a total of twelve modules and includes 160 teaching units of 45 minutes each in presence. Phase 1 - Arrival and Demystification: Participants learn what Artificial Intelligence is and how it works. They acquire the basics of prompting, i.e., the targeted formulation of inquiries to AI systems, and practice how to use AI tools for research and information gathering. The goal is a realistic understanding of the possibilities and limitations of AI. Phase 2 - AI in Professional Everyday Life: The focus is on practical application in typical office tasks. Participants use AI for creating and revising texts, for professional communication, as well as for planning and organization. They deal with the legal framework, particularly data protection and the requirements of the European AI Act, and learn how to handle AI-supported image and video creation. Phase 3 - Deepening and Application: Participants develop their own AI assistants for recurring tasks, transfer what they have learned to their respective industry and profession, and learn methods for quality assurance to critically evaluate and reliably use AI results. Phase 4 - Outlook and Conclusion: At the end, participants work on their own project and present their results in a presentation (pitch). The resulting portfolio can be used as proof of their acquired skills in the application process. Participants also learn throughout the entire training phase how to use AI in the application process.
