Course overview

As a nursing service manager (short: PDL), you hold a key position between the ward or department management and the direct management. Your area of responsibility in outpatient and inpatient care facilities includes both organizational and administrative tasks - from personnel planning and organizing duty rosters to monitoring compliance with quality standards. Based on the foundations you have already acquired during your training and professional practice, we provide you with further education that imparts knowledge in the areas of management, communication, law, and leadership, as well as advanced competencies in project management, conflict management, and team leadership. Successfully completing the IHK certificate course creates the prerequisites for being recognized and employed as a leading or deputy nursing specialist (PDL) in outpatient and inpatient care facilities by the nursing care funds and for taking on leadership and management tasks. Upon passing the exam, participants receive a certificate "Leading Specialist in Nursing according to § 71 SGB XI". Good to know: With the aforementioned qualification, you also acquire the qualification "Residential Area Management in Nursing" (WBL). Methods: Lectures, instructor presentations, individual and group work, exercises, experience exchange, presentations and discussions, extensive practical examples, online campus. Future leaders are expected to develop professional action competence as a key qualification through the connection of theory and practice, working with case studies, and the selection of different teaching forms and media.
