Logistics + Digitalization + Industry 4.0 + IT This training provides a solid understanding of the current challenges and opportunities in logistics. It includes the integration of digitalization and IT into logistical processes and the development of digital twins as part of modern Industry 4.0 concepts. Module 1: Basics of Logistics Module 2: Basics of Digital Twins Basics of Logistics Introduction to Logistics Systems: Overview of basic logistics terms, functions, and the importance of logistics in industrial value chains. Processes & Networks: Fundamentals of material and information flows, logistics concepts, and control models in the context of Industry 4.0. Planning & Organization: Logistics planning, load carrier management, route planning, and container management as strategic elements of modern logistics. IT & Digitalization: Basics of logistics IT, automation, data analysis, and future technologies such as digital twins and smart logistics. Safety & Regulations: Initial insights into protective regulations, packaging basics, customs processes, and legal aspects in logistics. Basics of Digital Twins Virtual Representations: Development of digital models of real objects, processes, or systems. Simulation & Optimization: Analysis of process behavior, error detection, and performance enhancement. Application Areas: Manufacturing planning, logistics, maintenance, and product development. At the end of the training, participants will master the application of IT and digitalization strategies in logistics, including the development and use of digital twins for process optimization.
