Course Overview The course "Logistics, Fulfillment & Operations Management" provides the technical foundations for planning, controlling, and monitoring logistics processes in e-commerce. Participants will deal with the flow of goods from storage to delivery and learn how to coordinate interfaces between shop systems, warehouse processes, and operational execution. What you will learn in the course Develop shipping strategies and coordinate carrier networks Structure return processes and reverse logistics Manage warehouse management systems and inventory displays Evaluate fulfillment models and classify outsourcing decisions Use logistics controlling for process monitoring Apply methods for handling operational disruptions Shipping and Carrier Management This topic area covers different shipping models as well as collaboration with parcel service providers, KEP services, and freight forwarders. The focus is on selecting appropriate shipping structures, service levels, and coordination processes. Returns Management and Reverse Logistics This section addresses the organization of returns, the inspection of returned goods, and their reintegration into inventory or further utilization. Typical process steps and interfaces in the returns process are also considered. Warehouse Management and Inventory Control The focus is on organizing storage areas, controlling inventory, and coordinating between inventory management, warehouse, and online shop. Additionally, requirements for inventory transparency and availability displays are conveyed. Fulfillment Options and Outsourcing Various order processing models and criteria for collaboration with external logistics service providers are analyzed. This includes operational, organizational, and economic aspects of make-or-buy decisions. Logistics Controlling and Process Optimization Participants will work with key figures to assess logistics performance and engage with methods for analyzing deviations and disruptions. The goal is to achieve a structured understanding of process monitoring and continuous improvement. Information on Instruction and Certificate Instruction is conducted in German. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate documenting the knowledge acquired in the field of logistics, fulfillment, and operations management.
