Oral Knowledge Examination for Nursing Professions MKP Nursing

Course overview

The knowledge examination provides the opportunity to demonstrate the equivalence of a nursing qualification obtained abroad and to meet the requirements for recognition as a nursing professional in Germany. Content: The oral knowledge examination covers all areas of health and nursing care as well as health and pediatric nursing. In the context of an examination interview, you will discuss all nursing-related topics based on a complex case study and answer supplementary questions. The examination interview lasts 45 minutes and is conducted in German. The complex case study takes place in one of the following nursing settings: inpatient acute care inpatient long-term care outpatient acute/long-term care You must address the following topics based on the case study and answer the related questions: responsibly plan, organize, design, implement, and evaluate nursing processes and nursing diagnostics in acute and long-term care situations design communication and counseling in a person- and situation-oriented manner responsibly shape and participate in intra- and interprofessional actions in different systemic contexts reflect on and justify your actions based on laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines reflect on and justify your actions based on scientific findings and professional ethical values and attitudes Your result will be communicated to you immediately after the examination interview. If you do not pass the examination on the first attempt, you can repeat the oral knowledge examination a second time. Perspectives: After completing the recognition process, you can begin working as a recognized nursing professional in the German healthcare system.
