Content Introduction to Neurodesign: Clarification of terms, differentiation from UX design, relevance of perception psychology, memory, and attention for interaction design; transfer of Gestalt principles, color, and typography effects into design guidelines. Cognitive Load and Decision Making: Application of models for cognitive load, signal-to-noise considerations, Hick-Hyman and Fitts's laws for navigation, microcopy, and interaction flows. Information Architecture and Interaction Patterns: Structuring content, navigation concepts, mapping and feedback, pattern libraries, states, and error tolerance in the interface. Prototyping and Testing: Low to high-fidelity prototypes, task definitions, conducting usability tests, basics of eye-tracking, evaluation of qualitative and quantitative data. Ethics and Accessibility: Consideration of accessibility, perceptual limits, avoidance of dark patterns, data protection aspects in testing settings, and responsible use of behavioral insights. Measurement and Iteration: Definition of metrics, derivation of hypotheses, A/B testing, documentation of design decisions, handover to development, and continuous improvement loops.
