Specialist in Bavarian Child Day Care Facilities Block C includes Module 5, which qualifies individuals as specialists in child day care facilities in Bavaria. Content Module 5 combines theory and practice to qualify as a specialist in child day care facilities in Bavaria. Target Group and Admission Requirements Participants can enter Module 5 if they have completed Module 4 or if they are entering directly as career changers. For entry via Block B (Module 4), the following are required: successful completion of Module 4, minimum age of 25 years at the start, secondary school diploma or higher, proof of at least two years of work as a supplementary staff member (minimum 50% working time, with personnel approval according to § 16 Abs. 6 Satz 2 AVBayKiBiG) in a licensed, state-funded Bavarian child day care facility. For those whose first language is not German: proof of language skills at least at B2 level; existing employment relationship of at least 50% as an approved supplementary staff member with practical guidance. For career changers entering Module 5: completion of at least a two-year relevant vocational training (e.g., child care) or a relevant degree (e.g., primary school teaching), minimum age of 25 years, secondary school diploma or higher, at least two years of work as a supplementary staff member (minimum 50% working time) in a licensed, state-funded Bavarian child day care facility or two years in state-funded GTP or open/cooperative all-day care in Bavaria; for those whose first language is not German: B2 level; existing employment relationship of at least 50% as an approved supplementary staff member with practical guidance. Examination Certification requires active participation in all learning phases, completion of assignments (reflection and transfer tasks in KITA HUB Bavaria www.kita.bayern, preparation and follow-up of presence events, discussions with guidance, documentation in the learning diary), video feedback (own video and feedback discussion), interim examination (presentation of a practical sequence with reflection after at least 150 UE) and final examination (presentation and thesis after successful interim examination).
