Course overview

Assistance tasks in nursing and care range from helping with getting up to serving meals and engaging in conversation, as well as reporting observations to the professional staff. These tasks can be organized in a compact form along the questions of what needs to be observed, what can be done independently, and what must be reported. The qualification follows this structure and culminates in practical deployment in a facility. Course Content 1. Overview of Assistance Tasks and Their Legal Classification Job profile of assistance in nursing and care Services according to SGB XI, care levels, and assessment instruments Confidentiality, liability, and delegation of tasks by the nursing professional Team collaboration and limits of one's own responsibilities 2. Support with Personal Care, Nutrition, and Mobility Washing, dressing, oral care, and skin observation Serving food, dietary forms, and promoting fluid intake Support with elimination and promoting continence Prophylaxes according to the expert standards of DNQP 3. Accompaniment, Engagement, and Contact Design Care services according to Paragraph 43b SGB XI in individual and group form Activating offers, memory work, and daily structure Communication with people with dementia and their relatives Planning excursions, celebrations, and seasonal activities 4. Household Support and Supply Security Meal preparation and food hygiene Cleaning, laundry care, and safe design of living spaces Identifying supply gaps and need for aids Handling laundry labeling and personal belongings 5. Observing, Reporting, Documenting Correctly categorizing vital signs, behavioral changes, and warning signs Reporting channels, handovers, and behavior in emergency situations Nursing documentation according to the structural model and proof of services rendered Hygiene, protective equipment, and infection control 6. Practical Phase in Facility or Service Accompanied deployment in the living area or on tour Kinaesthetic movement support and back-friendly working under guidance Reflection on the professional role and managing personal stress Evaluation of the deployment and derivation of personal learning needs Professional Relevance Assistance work in inpatient and semi-inpatient facilities Collaboration in outpatient nursing and care services Support in assisted living forms and shared apartments Deployment in care groups and day care
