Care and Social Management with Dual Qualification in Facility Management/Home Management and Responsible Nursing Professional according to § 71 SGB XI (PDL)

Course overview

This training is aimed at those who are already working as home managers or deputy home managers, or as heads or deputy heads of nursing services in an outpatient service or smaller residential facilities for the elderly, and who are preparing for the position. The demands on facilities in elderly care and their management have significantly increased in recent years. An increase in competition, more demanding residents or clients, relatives and employees, a wide range of services, quality aspects, the challenging labor market for skilled workers, and not least political and legal developments require a high level of qualification from managers. The tasks differ according to the size of the facility and the type of sponsorship. The spectrum of the profession ranges from a kind of home father/mother to social manager. Especially in the areas of personnel and business management, the keys to the future of the facility lie. The goal of the training is to address the broad profile of requirements and to prepare participants for their various tasks or to support them in their daily work. Therefore, the training includes the additional certificate of Quality Officer. In structuring the training, two main goals are pursued: the development of fundamentals for the position of home management and current support in daily work. The training is oriented towards legal requirements as well as current and future demands on the position of home management. The legal foundations include, in particular, the "Framework Curriculum of the Federal Working Group of Free Welfare Services for Continuing Education and Training for Home Managers, the Home Personnel Regulation, and the additional requirements of individual states for home manager qualification. The training aims to support participants in their practical work even during the training. To achieve this, the content of the learning events and learning situations is tailored to the participants' experience base. Practically, this means that the knowledge, skills, and ideas of the participants are incorporated into the lessons and further developed. We have had good experiences with both individuals who are already experienced in the position and those who are preparing for it working together in the training group. The training is oriented towards legal requirements as well as current and future demands regarding the position of the responsible nursing professional. The legal foundations include, in particular, the provisions according to SGB XI and the additional requirements of individual states. The training aims to support participants in their practical work even during the training. To achieve this, the content of the learning events and learning situations is tailored to the participants' experience base.
