Course overview

Software developers do not just write code. A large part of the work takes place in shared repositories, where they review changes and keep programs readable over the years. This training in software development focuses precisely on this way of working, namely the tools and routines within the developer team. What you will master in your daily work Create and clone projects with Git, work with checkout and commit Use branching and merging, and resolve merge conflicts Navigate folder structures in the command line with Bash Chain commands with the pipe operator and edit files in the Nano editor Write clean code according to PEP 8 and prepare code reviews Formulate unit tests with test assertions and setup methods Content The day of a software developer often begins with syncing the repository and ends with a commit. In between, tasks include executing Python scripts, setting environment variables, and managing permissions. Common rules apply to the code itself: version control with meaningful commits, test naming conventions, comprehensions, and well-defined classes. This creates a picture of how software development works in a team and what routine it requires.
