Course overview

Projects succeed when they are designed with the user in mind. The training course Project Management 4.0 combines a continuous project process from project clarification to completion with a user-centered design thinking process. The course demonstrates how planning and prototyping complement each other. Project Management - Classifying Projects Initially, projects are distinguished from regular operations. Definition, distinction, and roles in project management Approaches from traditional to hybrid to agile Project Management - Assignment, Goals, and Risks / Planning and Control This section covers project clarification, goal definition, and risk assessment. Project clarification, goal definition, and environmental analysis Risks, opportunities, phases, milestones, and work packages Process, time, and resource planning Project control, completion, and documentation Design Thinking - Understanding and Problem Definition At the beginning is a thorough understanding of the users and their problems. Empathy, user research, and persona development Sharpening problem definition Design Thinking - Ideas and Prototypes / Business Model and Pitch This section focuses on developing solutions and making them quickly verifiable. Idea generation, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping User testing and iteration Business Model Canvas, storytelling, and pitch The training combines traditional project management with a proven innovation method. This allows projects to be managed in a structured way and their solutions to be tested early with users. MS Office 365 and Miro are used in this process.
