Course overview

Course Description This introductory course provides the essential foundations of project management for beginners and professionals who want to take on initial responsibilities in projects. The focus is on the phases of a project, typical tasks of project managers, and practical methods such as PRINCE2, Scrum, and Kanban. The course is complemented by an introduction to digital tools like MS Project, Jira, and Excel, as well as initial insights into the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the project environment - including orientation towards certifications such as AI-900, AIBIZ, and GenAIBIZ. Course Content Fundamentals of Project Management Introduction to project work and typical roles, tasks, and phases. Project definition, goals, stakeholders, and project structure plan Project initiation, planning, execution, closure Overview of Project Methods Introduction to classical and agile approaches in project management. PRINCE2 Foundation: Principles and processes Scrum and Kanban: Agile working methods in comparison Tools for Project Planning and Control Practical use of digital tools in project work. MS Project: Scheduling and task structure Jira and Excel: Task tracking and controlling Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence in the Project Context Understanding AI elements and their meaningful use in the project environment. AI-900: Introduction to AI, machine learning, application possibilities CertNexus AIBIZ and GenAIBIZ: Understanding AI in business practice Conclusion After the course, participants will have a solid foundational understanding of project management, be able to support initial projects in a structured manner, and be familiar with relevant methods, tools, and AI concepts for a successful entry into project work.
