Course overview

Objective This training program imparts knowledge and skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application in project management, as well as in ethical and legal issues. The content is designed to enable project managers to utilize AI technologies to optimize decision-making processes and enhance effectiveness in projects. Furthermore, it covers the fundamentals of visual process control using Kanban, as well as the ethical and legal evaluation of AI systems. Content The training is divided into several modules. In the module "AI for Project Managers," the basics of Artificial Intelligence, specific AI applications in project management, foundation models, and open-source AI tools are discussed. The handling of AI in everyday project work, the implementation of AI projects, and the evaluation of AI solutions are also addressed, along with ethical, data protection, and legal frameworks. Additionally, soft skills for AI projects, such as communication, leadership, and change management, are taught. An excursion into project management and an additional topic on working with ChatGPT round off this module. The module "Ethics and Law in Artificial Intelligence" deals with ethical dilemmas of modern AI technologies. Topics include an introduction to the ethics and law of AI, an overview of the EU AI Act, transparency and traceability of AI systems, data protection and data security, algorithmic fairness and non-discrimination, ethical principles, as well as governance and compliance in AI. International perspectives and comparisons are also considered. The module "Kanban" teaches the fundamentals of visual work process representation and control. Topics include the Kanban board, the use of tools like Trello, the combination of Kanban with other agile methods, Kanban metrics for performance measurement, as well as teamwork and communication in the Kanban context. The integration of Kanban into existing processes is also addressed.
