Course overview

Project management with PRINCE2 means leading projects according to a method that supports every step from the project mandate to the project completion report with established processes and management products. This training combines the fundamentals of project management with the core principles of PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile, and prepares participants for the PRINCE2 certification with the module 'Fit for Exam and Practice'. Certified project management according to PRINCE2 is thus the goal towards which all content is directed. What you will learn Evaluate projects and prepare decisions regarding initiation and continuation Prepare the project and establish the structure and content of the project mandate Conduct environment analysis and stakeholder analysis Set up control and reporting in projects Create project completion reports and project documentation Adapt and apply core principles, themes, processes, and management products of PRINCE2 in an agile context Utilize key concepts and focus areas of PRINCE2 Agile in the project context From Project Mandate to Project Documentation The first part lays the foundations of project management: projects are evaluated, decisions are prepared, the project mandate is established, and supported by environment analysis and stakeholder analysis. This is followed by control and reporting during the project duration, until the project completion report and project documentation conclude the endeavor. PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile in Interaction The second part integrates these foundations into the method: core principles of PRINCE2 in relation to projects, key concepts of PRINCE2 Agile, PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile in the project context, and the connection between both approaches. In application, core principles, themes, processes, and management products are adapted to the agile context, and the focus areas of PRINCE2 Agile are deepened. The module 'Fit for Exam and Practice' prepares for the PRINCE2 certification exam and aligns the content with certified project management according to PRINCE2. Career Perspectives Fields of application include roles such as Project Manager with PRINCE2 certification, project leader, sub-project leader, PMO staff, or project coordinator in both traditionally and agile-managed projects. This includes tasks such as creating the project mandate, conducting stakeholder analysis, control and reporting, as well as project documentation according to PRINCE2.
