Course overview

Project Management PSMI consists of the core modules GPM Basic and Scrum Master PSM 1. Methodological competencies in hybrid project management The training course imparts comprehensive methodological competencies in hybrid project management based on the standards of GPM (German Society for Project Management) as well as the agile framework for Scrum Master (PSM 1). The combination of classical and agile project management allows for flexible handling of initiation, planning, and implementation processes. At the beginning of the qualification, the focus is on defining objectives and creating a formal project charter to delineate the business framework of the project. Content and process planning In the area of content and process planning, the definition of scope and the identification of all required deliverables are central. Classical project management uses structuring into individual work packages and the establishment of temporal milestones. The Critical Path is used to analyze time-critical sequences, while the Triple Constraint ensures the continuous balancing of time, cost, and content/quality. Task distribution and resources For an orderly distribution of tasks and allocation of resources, the RACI model is used to clarify responsibilities. Before the actual start of implementation, a central kick-off meeting aligns all participants. Modern project management combines these fundamentals with agile approaches: the ongoing prioritization of requirements occurs through a central backlog or a structured task list, with stepwise implementation taking place in defined iterations. Implementation phase In the implementation phase, project management focuses on the continuous monitoring and control of work progress. Regular comparisons of planned versus actual progress allow for the identification of deviations, which are summarized in a transparent status report. Formal adjustments to the original planning status are handled through structured change requests. At the same time, a preventive risk management system safeguards the overall system against potential dangers and uncertainties. Involvement of stakeholders The active involvement of all relevant stakeholders is a core task in professional project management to ensure transparency and acceptance throughout the entire project process. The reflection on collaboration is carried out through the systematic documentation of lessons learned. Sustainable project management utilizes these insights for continuous process optimization. This integrated project management specifically prepares participants for certification exams according to GPM Basic and Professional Scrum Master (PSM 1). The knowledge imparted forms the foundation for targeted project management in complex and dynamic work environments.
