Here, you will learn about the income and surplus calculation, which is a simplified legally prescribed method for determining profits for companies. The following content will be taught: • Basics of income-surplus calculation as a simplified method for determining profits for companies • Creation and analysis of business evaluations (BWA) • Use of DATEV, a common software for accounting • Introduction to accounting and bookkeeping • Specifics of income-surplus calculation compared to balance sheet accounting • Structure and interpretation of balance sheets • Business evaluations for financial analysis of companies • Recording business transactions and booking techniques • Understanding of account frameworks and account plans • Value-added tax and input tax deduction in Germany • Delimitation and valuation of assets and liabilities • Profit and loss statement (GuV) and its components • Cash flow analysis and liquidity management • Application of cost accounting tools for corporate management • Annual financial statements and profit determination according to German commercial law • Compliance with tax obligations and deadlines in Germany • Practical case studies and exercises to apply the knowledge gained.
