SAP FI - Digital Financial Accounting - Basics

Course overview

This course provides fundamental knowledge about digital financial accounting with SAP FI. Participants will acquire a basic understanding of the core functions and system structure. The focus is on the fundamental processes of external financial reporting. Course Content 1. Introduction to SAP FI and the System Overview of the SAP system landscape and the integration of SAP FI Explanation of organizational structures in finance (company code, chart of accounts) Navigation in the SAP system and use of the basic user interface 2. Basics of General Ledger Accounting (GL) Setting up and maintaining the chart of accounts at a basic level Recording simple business transactions in the general ledger Overview of document entry and the various types of documents 3. Master Data in Finance Creation and management of creditor master records as basic data Creation and management of debtor master records as basic data Maintenance of simple payment terms and bank details 4. Basics of Reporting and Reporting Display of account balances and individual items Use of simple standard reports for data analysis Selection and export of basic lists from the SAP system Professional Relevance Structured introduction to the central modules of digital financial accounting Ability to accurately record and process simple financial transactions in the SAP system Preparation for tasks that require basic knowledge of external financial reporting in an SAP environment
