Course overview

Scrum is the most widely used agile framework - and the Scrum Master is the role that keeps it running. This training focuses on the Scrum framework: from the product vision to the Scrum artifacts Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment, as well as Daily Scrums and Retrospectives, embedded in the initiation, planning, and control of projects using agile and traditional approaches. What you will learn Initiation and goal definition of projects Developing project plans with resource and time management Classifying agile and hybrid methods Fundamentals of the Scrum framework and its roles Implementing Scrum phases: Backlog creation and Sprint planning Agile leadership, team building, and conflict management Quality and stakeholder management in agile environments Project controlling, budget monitoring, and sustainability aspects What is on the curriculum The course begins with the phases of project management: initiating projects, defining goals, analyzing stakeholders, creating project plans, and assembling teams. The Scrum framework builds on this - the artifacts, roles, and events from the product vision to Daily Scrums and Retrospectives, developed through case studies. Additionally, the training covers agile leadership, conflict management, quality management, as well as economic and ecological aspects of resource utilization. Perspectives after the training Career opportunities lie in roles such as Scrum Master, agile project manager, member of Scrum teams, or specialist in project management with an agile focus.
