Course overview
Scrum is the leading agile framework for modern product development and project management - this training provides you with all the fundamentals and tools for the successful application of Scrum in your professional life. Fundamentals of the Scrum Framework: Scrum is based on empirical process control with the three pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaptation. You will learn the Scrum values (courage, focus, openness, respect, commitment) and understand how Scrum teams work in a self-organized and cross-functional manner. The Scrum training covers planning and controlling complex projects using agile methods comprehensively. Scrum Roles, Scrum Events, and Scrum Artifacts: The focus of this Scrum training is on the three roles: Product Owner (responsible for the Product Backlog and prioritization), Scrum Master (servant leader, removing obstacles, coaching the team), and the development team. You will master all five Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and the Sprint itself. For the Scrum artifacts Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment, you will learn to apply the Definition of Done as a quality criterion. Planning, Controlling, and Management with Scrum: Scrum enables effective resource planning through velocity measurement and burndown charts. You will practice backlog refinement, sprint planning, and risk management in an agile context. Controlling methods such as burn-up charts and cumulative flow diagrams will help you make project progress transparent. Communication within the Scrum team is strengthened through structured events and artifacts. Agile Methods and Tools: In addition to Scrum, you will learn Kanban as a pull system and understand the difference between Scrumban and classic Scrum. For practical implementation, you will work with tools like Jira (agile boards, backlogs, dashboards), Confluence (documentation), and Azure DevOps. Scaling frameworks such as Nexus, SAFe, and LeSS complete the picture. Certification and Conclusion: The Scrum training specifically prepares you for recognized certifications such as Professional Scrum Master PSM I (scrum.org) or EXIN Scrum Master. Optional: PSPO I (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or EXIN Scrum Product Owner. With the completion of this Scrum training, you will be well-equipped to independently plan, manage, and successfully implement Scrum projects.
