Course overview
This training program covers topics from the Smart Electric field, focusing on the maintenance and servicing of electric vehicle components. Tool and method knowledge for the maintenance of electrical systems High voltage certificate Level 2s What is Smart Electric Smart Electric includes: Diagnosis and maintenance of electric vehicle systems Battery management and performance optimization Installation and calibration of charging technology and infrastructure Repair of high voltage systems in electric vehicles Training on safety regulations when handling high voltage components Programming and calibration of control units The focus of Smart Electric is on the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems in electric and hybrid vehicles. This includes working on high voltage systems and electric drives, as well as managing vehicle batteries while adhering to safety standards. Entry: Basics of Vehicle Technology The first module of the Smart Electric training provides the fundamentals of vehicle technology that are relevant for working on electric vehicles. Topics such as drive technology, chassis, and inspection procedures are covered. Additionally, physical principles regarding electromobility and safety aspects are taught. The learning content of the module includes occupational safety and physical principles of electromobility, as well as the inspection and testing of vehicles. Chassis components such as axles, suspension, brakes, and steering are addressed, along with drive technology, including motors, transmissions, and drive shafts. The application of this knowledge is specifically in the context of electric vehicles. Module 2: Specialization in Electrical Engineering The second module of the Smart Electric training focuses on electrical engineering in electric and hybrid vehicles. It covers the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including high voltage systems and battery management. Charging technology is also addressed. The high voltage certificate Level 2s is part of this module. The teaching content includes: Electronic data transmission and troubleshooting Electric motors and their operation Voltage, current, and resistance measurements Handling electric vehicles (E-scooters, E-bikes, electric cars) High voltage systems and their distortions Energy generation and charging technology High voltage certificate Level 2s for work on production vehicles High Voltage Certificate Level 2s This qualification is necessary to work on high voltage systems that are live. It allows for the diagnosis of faults in such systems and enables independent maintenance and servicing work while adhering to applicable safety regulations. Requirements General interest in various vehicles and means of transport, such as cars, bicycles, scooters, or Segways Some manual skills German language proficiency at B2 level
