Course overview
This training course deals with various disciplines in the field of Smart Electric. The focus is on the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components in vehicles. Tool knowledge and methods for working on electrical systems High-voltage certificate level 2s included What is meant by Smart Electric? Smart Electric deals with the maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical systems in vehicles, especially those with electric or hybrid drives. The focus is on the diagnosis and maintenance of high-voltage systems, as well as battery management and work on electric drives according to safety regulations. The following areas are covered: Calibration and programming of control units and software Repair and diagnosis of electrical vehicle systems Installation and maintenance of charging infrastructures Maintenance of high-voltage systems in electric and hybrid vehicles Optimization of battery performance Safety training in handling high-voltage components Module 1: Basics of Vehicle Technology In the first module of this training, the fundamental aspects of vehicle technology are covered. Knowledge of drive technology, chassis, and inspection of electric vehicles is conveyed. Physical principles that are specifically applicable in electromobility, as well as occupational safety measures, are also addressed. The teaching content includes: Chassis components: axle, steering, wheel suspension, suspension, and brakes Occupational safety and physical principles Drive technology, including motor, transmission, and drive shafts Inspection techniques and testing equipment Reference to electric vehicles and their peculiarities Module 2: Specialization in Electrical Engineering Teaching Content The second module of this Smart Electric training focuses on electrical engineering, the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in electric and hybrid vehicles, including high-voltage technology, battery management, and charging technology. Qualification: High-voltage certificate 2s This is the basis for working on live high-voltage systems, diagnosing faults, and independently carrying out maintenance measures while adhering to safety standards. The following content is taught in this electrical engineering module: Voltage, current, and resistance Electric motors Electronic data transmission and troubleshooting Handling high-voltage systems from distortions Handling electric vehicles (e-bikes, e-scooters, electric cars) Energy generation, storage, and charging technology High-voltage certificate 2s for work on production vehicles Requirements for participation Interest in various vehicles and means of transportation, including cars, bicycles, scooters, and Segways Manual skills German language proficiency at level B2
