Course overview

This training program covers content from the Smart Electric field. The focus is on the maintenance and servicing of electric vehicle components. Tool and method knowledge for the maintenance of electrical systems High voltage certificate Level 2s What is Smart Electric Smart Electric includes: Diagnosis and maintenance of electrical vehicle systems Battery management and performance optimization Installation and calibration of charging technology and infrastructure Repair of high voltage systems in electric vehicles Training on safety regulations for handling high voltage components Programming and calibration of control units In the Smart Electric area, the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems of electric and hybrid vehicles are the main focus. This includes working on high voltage systems and electric drives, as well as managing vehicle batteries while adhering to safety standards. Module 1: Basics of Vehicle Technology The first module of this training covers the fundamental aspects of vehicle technology. Knowledge of drive technology, chassis, and inspection of electric vehicles is imparted. Physical principles that are specifically applicable in e-mobility, as well as occupational safety measures, are also addressed. The teaching content includes: Chassis components: axle, steering, wheel suspension, suspension, and brakes Occupational safety and physical principles Drive technology, including motor, transmission, and drive shafts Inspection techniques and testing equipment Reference to electric vehicles and their specific features Specialization: Electrical Engineering The second module of this training focuses on the specialization in electrical engineering in electric and hybrid vehicles. Key topics include the diagnosis and maintenance of high voltage systems, battery management, and charging technologies. The high voltage certificate 2s is obtained as part of this module. The content covered includes handling electric vehicles such as e-scooters, e-bikes, and electric cars, as well as the basics of voltage, current, and resistance in electrical systems. The functioning of electric motors, handling of high voltage systems and their distortions, as well as topics like energy generation, storage, and charging infrastructure are discussed. Additionally, electronic data transmission and fault diagnosis are addressed. High Voltage Certificate 2s The high voltage certificate 2s is the basis for work on high voltage systems. It authorizes the diagnosis of faults and the performance of maintenance work on live systems while adhering to safety requirements. Prerequisites General interest in various vehicles and modes of transport, such as cars, bicycles, scooters, or Segways Some manual skills German language proficiency at B2 level
