Course overview

The Nursing and Elderly Care Assistant works under the guidance and responsibility of a qualified nursing professional in the holistic care, support, and provision for sick or dependent individuals of all age groups. Employment opportunities include nursing homes, outpatient care services, hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, and similar facilities. Training content includes theoretical and practical training: 800 hours covering theoretical foundations in elderly care practices, supporting sick and elderly individuals in life management, participating in person- and situation-oriented care, understanding institutional and legal frameworks, health promotion and prevention, and emergency response. Practical training consists of 1400 hours in care services, hospitals, and nursing homes.
