Course overview

Course Objective The UX Design course focuses on the intersection of human-computer interaction, interface design, and product development. The main focus is on planning and designing user-centered interactions for digital applications. Topics covered include process models, user research methods, interaction design, prototyping, and usability evaluation. Another emphasis is on accessibility and collaboration with development teams during the handoff. Content Starting from the objective of user-centered design: basic concepts of UX design, classification in HCI and product development, roles, usage contexts, and process models. User research and requirements analysis: interviews, observation, and contextual studies, evaluation through affinity mapping, derivation of personas, use cases, and tasks. Information architecture and interaction design: structuring content, navigation models, user flows, state diagrams, error scenarios, and feedback concepts. Prototyping and UI design: wireframes, layout grids, typography and color decisions, components, design systems, and clickable prototypes in common tools. Usability evaluation, accessibility, and collaboration: test planning, moderation and metrics, heuristic reviews, WCAG principles, documentation, and handoff to development with specifications and design tokens.
