Our trainees are connected to their smartphones through their fingers and often suffer withdrawal symptoms after just a few hours of absence. However, this digital reformation has affected us all. What was once studied in encyclopedias years ago is now Googled. This gives rise to new ways of knowledge transfer and simultaneously presents challenges regarding knowledge processing and socialization. We will effectively address this apparent contradiction. Additionally, we will take a look at the general trend of digitalization of work processes within nursing and medicine.
