AI in Project Management: DevOps, Agility, and Artificial Intelligence

Course overview

Course Objective This training program provides comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and DevOps, focusing on their application in project management. The courses address the integration of AI technologies to optimize project decisions and processes, the implementation of DevOps practices to increase efficiency and agility in IT teams, and the synergistic connection between AI and agile project management. Content The training is divided into three thematic areas: AI for Project Managers* The content includes an introduction to Artificial Intelligence, its specific applications in project management, the use of foundation models and open-source AI tools, as well as the practical integration of AI into everyday project work. Furthermore, the implementation of AI projects, ethical, data protection, and legal frameworks, the evaluation of AI solutions, and necessary soft skills such as communication, leadership, and change management are covered. An excursion into project management and an additional topic on working with ChatGPT complement the module. DevOps Foundation* This module explores the fundamentals, origins, and cultural-philosophical approach of DevOps. Central topics include basic understanding, stakeholder management, collaboration, culture, organizational change management (OCM), and change enablement. The reasons for using DevOps, key practices such as Continuous Everything, value stream, deployment pipeline, version control, and configuration management are explained. Additional content includes value stream thinking, definition of done, strategies for automation challenges, DevOps anti-patterns, service management as an enabler, key practices, metrics, and KPIs. The interplay of DevOps with Scrum, Lean/Kanban, and DevSecOps is also addressed, as well as measuring and improving in DevOps, knowledge sharing, and the application of AI in DevOps (GenAI, AIOps). Exam preparation is integrated. AI in Agile Project Management* This module focuses on the interfaces between AI and agile project management. It covers the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and agile principles, followed by topics such as data management and data quality in AI projects. The use of AI for automation in agile projects, the use of AI tools and technologies in the agile team context, as well as the planning and implementation of AI projects in agile structures are addressed. Change management, acceptance promotion, risk management, ethical aspects, and cybersecurity in the context of AI systems are further focal points. AI-supported decision-making and forecasting models, as well as best practices and success factors, round off the module.
