Course overview

Those who implement AI in a company primarily manage people and projects, rather than the technology itself. The training for AI Managers combines data analysis and prompt engineering with project management, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership. The central question is how to manage AI initiatives from planning to integration within the team. Learning objectives in AI management Utilize current AI tools through prompt engineering for tasks within the company Understand data analysis and AI methods as a foundation for dealing with big data Plan an AI initiative along ten project steps until project completion Use leadership theory and leadership tools to ensure acceptance of AI within the team Recognize social responsibility in the use of AI as a leadership task Clearly represent AI initiatives with communication fundamentals and during public appearances Identify causes of conflict and apply conflict resolution models to AI projects Managing and Supporting AI Initiatives The methodological core consists of two components: prompt engineering as an introduction to current AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, and NotebookLM, and the component AI and Big Data, which connects the fundamentals of data analysis with methods of artificial intelligence. Project management provides the framework for implementation, with a project process structured in ten steps that guides an AI initiative from the initial idea to completion. Whether AI is accepted in a company depends on leadership. The leadership section addresses leadership theory, social responsibility, and leadership tools. The communication section focuses on communication fundamentals and public speaking, while conflict management deals with causes of conflict and models for their resolution. Methodological knowledge and leadership skills thus interconnect to ensure that AI initiatives receive support from all stakeholders. Fields of Application as an AI Manager Fields of application include roles such as AI Manager, AI Coordinator, Manager for AI initiatives, Project Leader for AI implementation, or AI Responsible in the company. Responsibilities include setting up AI projects, guiding teams through the implementation, and addressing conflicts surrounding new AI tools.
