Course overview

Pain therapy of INOMT This training consists of two courses: Part 1: Peripheral + Local Mechanisms and Extremities Part 2: Advanced Course on Pain Part 1: Peripheral + Local Mechanisms and Extremities Course Description: The hours are recognized for the Osteopathy training of INOMT. What is nociception? What are pains? And what is the difference between them? Why do pain patients respond so differently to the same technique? How can patients be effectively and efficiently examined and specifically treated? How are the patient's pains related to other symptoms and problems? What do pain medications do to the overall human organism? Theory: Introduction to the different forms of pain sensations (local inflammatory pain, local degenerative pain, vegetative pain, etc.) Difference between pain and nociception Local-structural processes of neurogenic inflammation and aspects of wound healing Distinction between -osis (osteoarthritis, etc.) and -itis (arthritis, etc.) Neuropathic pain and neurological symptoms Practice: Teaching adequate techniques for the various forms of pain The Level Model of INOMT as a guide for understanding the different manifestations of pain and their therapy Examples of practical applications include micromechanical therapy, meridian treatment Periosteal techniques, as well as direct and indirect osteopathic techniques. Neurological examination Case studies to illustrate the various methods Case studies serve as an opportunity to explore the holistic nature of pain. Target Group: Trained masseurs, medical bath masters, physiotherapists, physical therapists, doctors, occupational therapists, alternative practitioners, and other medical professions.
